Media Consent

How RCC uses presentation videos, results information and event media.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Limited Competition Use

Eligible finalised individual and team presentation videos are hosted on the official RCC YouTube channel as Unlisted. They are not normally displayed in YouTube search results or on the channel’s public video list.

RCC may use these videos only for judging and competition administration; display with official results or awards on the RCC website; direct-link sharing with relevant teachers, students, parents/guardians and RCC personnel; and reference viewing within RCC eLearning by registered students.

Unlisted is not private access control. Anyone who receives the link, or visits an RCC page where the video is embedded, may view and share it.

Results and Awards

RCC may publish official individual and team participant, finalist and awardee lists. Details are limited to what is reasonably needed for entry identification and recognition, such as submission number, approved participant/display name, school, team name, year or grade, category, project title and result or award.

RCC does not intentionally publish direct contact details, dates of birth, parent/guardian details or other sensitive information with a result or video.

Uses Not Included in Registration Consent

Registration and submission consent do not authorise unrelated advertising, press or media coverage, sponsor promotion, general social-media campaigns, or promotional use of event photos and footage. RCC must obtain separate explicit permission from the authorised participant, parent/guardian or school representative before those uses.

Authority and Removal Requests

For a participant under 18, the person accepting this policy confirms that they are authorised and have obtained any required parent/guardian and school permission.

An authorised person may request correction or removal by contacting [email protected]. Removing a required submission video may withdraw the entry or make it ineligible for continued judging, qualification, awards, results display or registered-student reference access. RCC may request reasonable evidence of identity and authority before acting.
